As a Managing Director Building Companion you will be responsible for the digitization of single-family housing market through Building Companion platform. Companion is the sophisticated marketplace for all the parties involved in the house building process (individual investors, builders, architects and producers). Our platform is currently available in 3 countries (Poland, Romania and Russia) with plans to start more countries soon.
Within this complex ecosystem of manufacturers, architects, builders and customers you will be responsible for the entire operations of the platform that is required to transition the construction market towards online and digital solutions. This means that you will have the opportunity to be in a key role setting up and driving the growth of the venture.
On a daily basis, you will be responsible for set the right strategy, aligning all stakeholders, managing all operations, performance reporting, project management and identifying new opportunities. Within this ecosystem, it is important that you have an entrepreneurial drive and can self-start projects and explore avenues of growth.

Your responsibilities:
- to provide leadership and knowledge about the strategic and operational goals of the organization,
- to manage and to coordinate work of subordinate teams, taking care of resource planning, employee selection and development, motivation and other managerial responsibilities and tasks
- to create and to develop the platform’s development strategy and business objectives
- to be accountable for the implementation, monitoring and analysis of effectiveness of processes
- budget management responsibility
- to be responsible for Building Companion platform development by expanding the user base and the number of business partners
- to be responsible for quality and pace of product development, work coordination and communication with external and internal technical teams, Call Center, Customer Service teams and others
- to act as a link between stakeholders within the Xella ecosystem and functions as the main promoter of the Building Companion platform and related business
- to be responsible for collecting and analyzing feedback from platform users and adapting the product to user requirements
- to be responsible for identifying potential business partners and negotiating contracts for the Building Companion platform
Requirements:
- 7+ years of experience, preferably in a top-tier consultancy or top-tier scale/start-up
- strong strategy thinker, result-oriented and number driven person
- ability to work in a high paced and deadline-driven environment
